More Men and Women of God prepare for the Mission Field

Pastors' Training Institute (PTI), which was founded by Korean missionaries 20 years ago, has been training local pastors for ministry in the post-graduate level. Agape Christian College of Theology (ACCOT), co-founded by Korean missionaries and Filipino pastors ten years ago have also been training Christian workers in the Bachelor level.

The occasion was graced by more than 40 Korean brethren and about 200 Filipino pastors, workers and guests. Music was provided by the Iloilo Chamber Orchestra. Our Senior Pastor, Rev. Norman S. Lao, was their Commencement Speaker. (For a transcript of his speech click here.)

Sis. Mildred Teorima Ferrer suffered a Stroke

Sis. Mildred Teorima Ferrer, our head for the Women's Fellowship in our Guimaras Church, suffered a stroke past 12 noon yesterday. She was immediately admitted at a hospital in Guimaras. However, after preliminary evaluation, the attending physician told the family that they were not equipped to handle her condition and proceeded to refer her to a hospital in Iloilo. Sis. Mildred is currently undergoing evaluation at the St. Paul's Hospital emergency room. She will be transferred to the ICU soon. She is moving, responds to voices and pain, but she cannot open her eyes. She could be in a coma. Her vital signs are normalizing and are being stabilized by the attending interns and nurses. Let's pray that she recovers from this quickly.

Sis. Mildred is second from the left.
